Edible Peace
Everyone has that one place they go to in search of peace, it could be a mall, the bedroom, an abandon building, or even just the playground. For me, it’s the Edible Park. The Edible Park is a place filled with many types of flowering and non-flowering plants, almost 90 % of the plants there are edible, therefore it is called the Edible park. But there is more to it than just a catchy name. The edible park is owned by Medini Iskandar Malaysia and is one of the 45 parks within Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru. The park is snuggled between the vast open spaces of Iskandar Puteri and constructions. The Edible Park has never failed to give me a sense of relief whenever I’m stressed. It is such a beautiful place, just a stroll through the park marvelling at plants would make me feel better. If you’re a nature lover, you will definitely adore this place.
A little bit more insight on this place, this park consists of a huge organic farm and a market that opens on the first Saturday of every month. This gives the farm operators and budding food entrepreneurs to test and sell their products. There is also a tiny cottage cafe that serves home-made and healthy food to the visitors of the park. The park was designed and themed to build a community around conscious and sustainable living which learns and addresses the environmental issues in the public realm.
